EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Since hospitals and clinics are often the first place people go when they are sick, it is important to design facilities that can sustain emergency situations. Known in the industry as surge, facilities often have documented procedures and trained staff to handle these situations.

 

Using our venturi valve solutions, and airflow automation & control systems, a normal patient room can be converted on-demand to an isolation room for emergency situations.

Typical patient room suites design criteria include the following:

 

• VAV or 2-position

• Switchable rooms for emergency events

• Native BACnet® controller supports valves

• Option to shut off valves for decontamination

• LON® with BMS can activate emergency sequence

• Pressure monitors

• Remote monitoring
